Our personal choice is for the beautiful sandy beach at Playa Melenera, or the excellent urban beaches around the charming capital, Las Palmas; both are outstanding places to visit on a luxury holiday to Gran Canaria.

City Breaks In Gran Canaria

The city of Las Palmas is an excellent place to stay on a holiday in Gran Canaria, combining excellent urban beaches with culture, festivals, a beautiful historic city centre, and a lovely marina that is often used for local regattas. Highlights in Gran Canaria

  • Play a round at the Real Club de Golf Las Palmas. Founded by British colonials in 1891, this was the first golf club in Spain and has a magnificent setting

  • Visit Mundo Aborigen – a fascinating reconstruction of an ancient Canarian village
