Kasbah Tamadot is Sir Richard Branson’s Moroccan mountain retreat – a magical escape just under an hour away from Marrakech, perched in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

It was Richard Branson’s mother who ‘discovered’ this gem in 1998 and he subsequently fell in love with the Kasbah for its secluded courtyards and gardens protected behind antique walls. Today it is an exquisite luxury boutique hotel with a superb spa.

It boasts individually designed rooms and suites including six luxury Berber tented suites with private plunge pool. Whichever room or suite you choose will showcase the clever contrast between old and new, bright and muted colours. Antique rugs and artefacts have been used effectively in the design, as well as items from the collection of Luciano Tempo and the wonderful views across the valley towards the Atlas peaks is a highlight for many.

To support the community, local Berber people have been trained as your hosts whilst the Head Chef will spoil you with international and authentic Berber cuisine using local ingredients and served with fine wines.
