Riad Kniza, Marrakech
Originally an 18th century house, Riad Kniza was converted by its current owners, the Bouskri family, using traditional artisans and filled with many fine collectable antiques. It has now become a small luxury ‘hotel de charme’ in the old Medina near Doukkala Gate, offering a tranquil refuge in the style of a sumptuous Moroccan home.
The stylish rooms and luxurious suites surround two of the courtyards and feature hand-crafted cedar wood, richly decorative furnishings and an open fireplace. Although most riads are not known for being family-friendly, Riad Kniza offers excellent accommodation choices for families with teenagers.
Guests appreciate the service and attention of Kamal, the owner and his truly friendly team of staff, not least in the à la carte restaurant (voted the best in town!) where exquisite Moroccan cuisine is served in one of the ‘salons’ by a fireplace or under the sun or stars on the rooftop terrace.
