Quinta Perestrello, Funchal 
Set in a small gardens close to Reid’s Palace, this attractive boutique hotel is a delightful spot from which to enjoy the island.
Step out of the hotel gates onto the main route through Funchal and a ten minute stroll downhill will take you to the centre of the old town or along to the popular Lido area. As you enter the hotel you are greeted by a feeling of stepping back in time, as if into the private house that the Quinta formerly was.
Now the house has grown with the addition of a new wing but a traditional Madeiran style has been preserved throughout. Rooms in the new wing have balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens.
The hotel’s restaurant serves a delicious menu and in addition, as part of ‘Charming Hotels of Madeira’ you can eat at any of the other Charming Hotels (all five star including Quinta Do Monte) and enjoy the spa and facilities at Quinta das Vistas.
